We were happy to work with the folks from DSSOLVR to provide a fresh Durham interpretation of their Asheville brand and aesthetic.
Located on the ground floor of the Atlas building at the corner of Corporation Street and Rigsbee Ave, the existing shell space came with a recessed front door within an arcade which offered an opportunity for pedestrian engagement with the Downtown Durham Central Park neighborhood.
A few challenges on the project were fitting the walk-in-cooler into a tight space to double as grab-and-go storage and a keg-to-wall tap system, as well as arranging back-of-house spaces in a functional manner - All while providing a welcoming taproom with signature suspended plants and unique lighting.
We collaborated with an incredible team of local engineers, fabricators, and installers. We were happy to team up with local artists Gabriel Eng-Goetz and Zac Bender (Brutal Bohemian), who created the two fabulous murals.
